A resident sends:
“A couple of days ago one of the residents of Building 1 (loft build along Harbor) had the unfortunate experience of having a late night run-in with a homeless person encamp in the electrical closet. The power had gone down in the building and the resident went to open the closets to inspect what was happening. Upon opening one of the closets, they had noticed a person sleeping (whom they initially thought was dead) on the closet floor. The police had been called out to remove the individual.
To compound matters, it turns out that the electrical wires had been ransacked and tampered with, consequently resulting in the power outage.
This presents two compelling reasons to why greater security is required regarding these closets. Currently, the HOA is addressing the issue, but any resolution may be some time away. Until then, please use caution around these closets, particularly at night. Many residents do arrive home in the later hours, so be cautious. If you happen upon any activity around the closets during evening hours, please do not hesitate to call the police.”
Thanks resident. I have also received complaints about an increase in beer bottles, trash, and trespassers on the property. Summer is upon us and you can expect a sharp increase in nuisances. Please don’t hesitate to request patrols, as it is time for the police to begin increasing their visibility in this neighborhood again, and stem the inevitable activity this time of year brings.
